Which of your cases makes you proudest of the result?

The case that makes me proudest of the result is a case where my client approached me seeking guidance with respect to a complex legal issue, and left with an accessible plan of action. While litigating with opposing counsel always proves to be both challenging and fulfilling, I am most satisfied where my legal opinion transforms a client’s doubts into a clear strategy – and expected results follow.

What do you think the most important factor is in resolving a file?

The most important factor in resolving any given case is a deep understanding of the facts and law. Spending the time to analyze all of the available information – from medical records to court decisions – allows me to assess a file in a way that bolsters its strengths and exposes its risks. This detailed assessment translates to full and frank discussions with opposing counsel, and favourable resolution for my clients.

What’s the most valuable lesson that your professional experience has taught you?

Making full use of the resources available to me. Whether this means conducting exhaustive legal research, working with the latest technology, or discussing strategy with experienced litigators, relying on a high-powered support system makes it easy to develop and execute a strategy that keeps the weight of litigation off of my clients.
