Lawyer

Lesley Albert

Lesley’s greatest strengths are her ability to hone in on the real issues in a case, assess the strengths and weaknesses accordingly, develop litigation and settlement strategies early and be able to adapt the strategies if necessary as new information is learned in the course of the life of a litigation matter. This provides clients with a clear view of potential outcomes and the ability to resolve cases to their advantage.

Which of your cases makes you proudest of the result?

It’s the cases where my attention to detail and ability to strategize has made a big difference.  I am always proud when we get to the sweet spot in the law suit wherein we are able to present our defence theory and clearly set out the other side’s risks, setting the path for resolution.

What do you think the most important factor is in resolving a file?

Understanding both sides of the case. This allows the client to properly assess their risk and options.

What’s the most valuable lesson that your professional experience has taught you?

The importance of understanding our client’s operations and needs. Our client’s have their own internal reporting structures, and they have milestones to meet which may be separate and apart from the milestones in the law suit.
